Can the e-bikes or bikes go on the beach?

Only ride on paved surfaces designated for bike use. The cleaning fee for taking geared bikes or ebikes on the beach is $50 per bike.

Are helmets included in the rental price?

Yes, so are locks for the bikes.

What are some of the main attractions to bike to from Koloa?

Start off taking an exploration around the new Koloa Village. There are a few options. You can leave our area on the road to Poipu. You can peddle to the round a bout and hang a right to bike up the path that leads past Kukui'ula Shopping Village up to Koloa Road. At the end of the by pass, do a 180 for the down hill slide and lean in to slowly cruise around Kukui ula Shopping Village. Then back at the round turn right to head towards Spouting Horn. Please obey road rules as the road could narrow a bit. Once at Spouting Horn, chain up the bikes , and walk over to observe the natural wonder. Spouting Horn is a blowhole located on the southern coast of Kauai in the Koloa district. The area is know for crashing waves which erode lava rocks on the coastline which can create narrow openings, as is the case with Spouting Horn. Back down the road you can stop at Lawai Beach to check out the ocean, snorkelers and suffers. Back toward the roundabout, turn onto the small bridge and peddle down the road which takes you along the sea wall toward the Sheraton. Just before the Sheraton, you can bike up to Poipu road, and in a bit, hang a left toward the Poipu Shopping Village to check out some of the new vendors. Back to Poipu road, you can head down to Poipu Beach, chain up the bikes and walk over to the Waiohai tiki bar (honu) to talk story......then up through Poipu Kai, and then Poipu Road to return the bikes. Depending on how long and if you stop by some of the local treats this could take you up to three hours. When you come in we talk so we can inform you about other sights.

Can you explain the different frame types?

We have three frame types: Step-through, Step-over, and Mixte. A step-through frame has a low top tube or cross-bar: A step-over frame has a high top tube or cross-bar: A mixte frame has a crossbar that attaches closer to the middle of the seat tube.

How is the weather in Poipu/ Koloa?

it is always nice in Kauai. We have lots of different microclimates. September is the hottest month for the southern end of Kauai with an average high temperature of 86.1°, which ranks it as warmer than most places in Hawaii. In this area, there are 9 comfortable months with high temperatures in the range of 70-85°. The most pleasant months of the year for Poipu and Koloa are January, February, and March.

How far is the beach from your store?

We are about ½ mile from a family friendly beach. It only takes approximately 10 -minutes on a bike.
